Ao prepararem esta seleção para “Doutrina & Prática da Igreja” para marcarem o 25.º aniversário da publicação da “Preciosa Semente”, em setembro de 1970, os editores trabalharam em total comunhão com os seus irmãos do Comité da Preciosa Semente, e, em particular, eles contaram com a ajuda especial de Leonard Cave, Denis Clapham, H. Hobbs, W. J. Manfield and J. Williamson. O objetivo da seleção foi assegurar o maior alcance possível de todos os aspetos daquilo que é conhecido como a “verdade da igreja”. Foram selecionados artigos da secção “Jovens Crentes”, assim como do corpo principal da revista, assegurando que o livro fosse apropriado para qualquer grupo etário, tanto espiritual como natural. Quatro artigos foram escritos especialmente para este livro.  

In preparing this selection of ministry on "Church doctrine and practice" to mark the 25th anniversary of the publication of Precious Seed, the anniversary falling in September 1970, the Editors have worked in full fellowship with their brethren on the Precious Seed Committee, and in particular they acknowledge special help received from Messrs. Leonard Cave, Denis Clapham, H. Hobbs, W. J. Manfield and J. Williamson. The object of the selection was to secure as wide a range as possible of every aspect of what is commonly known as "church truth". Articles have been selected from the Young Believers' Section as well as from the main body of the magazine, ensuring that the book is suitable for every age group, both spiritual and natural. Four articles have been specially written for this book.
