Para além dos Evangelhos – Este livro dá resposta à questão muitas vezes colocada – Que informação existe sobre Jesus Cristo para além dos Evangelhos? Há dois aspetos deste estudo – que evidência confirmatória existe de que Ele viveu e ensinou o que se encontra nos Evangelhos, e que factos extra existem relacionados com Ele para juntar àqueles que encontramos lá? Escritores pagãos e Judeus são chamados a testemunhar, e evidências arqueológicas são examinadas, incluindo as das catacumbas. Histórias não canónicas e ditos são selecionados de muitas fontes, mesmo de livros Muçulmanos. A conclusão a que se chega é que existe uma valiosa evidência externa da historicidade de Jesus, e também uma grande quantidade de informações adicionais interessantes, das quais, pelo menos uma parte, pode ser considerada autêntica e de valor real. 

This book gives the answer to the question often asked — What information is there about Jesus Christ elsewhere than in the Gospels? There are two aspects of this study — what confirmatory evidence is there that He lived and taught as in the Gospels, and what extra facts are there regarding Him in addition to those found there? Pagan and Jewish writers are called in witness, and archaeological evidence is examined, including that from the catacombs. Uncanonical stories and sayings are culled from many sources, even Moslem books. The sum of the matter is that there is valuable external evidence of the historicity of Jesus, and also quite an amount of interesting additional information, some part at least of which may be considered authentic and of real worth.
