The Psalms is probably the most popular book in the Old Testament. It is a book of poetry and is regarded as the hymn book of ancient Israel. In the Psalms, we can find comfort, teaching, rebuke, and exhortation as we see our own experiences mirrored in those of the psalmist. While not all of the Bible is written directly to the Church, all Scripture is profitable for the Church.
