A autoridade para usar objetos como ilustrações para verdades espirituais está investida pela Palavra de Deus. Os profetas, séculos antes de Cristo, foram ordenados para preparar e ensinar sermões baseados em objetos. Cristo usou este método para apresentar verdades. O estilo coloquial foi preservado para fornecer ao leitor ideias em vez de palavras. Sugere-se que as lições apresentadas sejam alteradas o suficiente para as tornar de cada um, acompanhadas de oração para as tornar vivas, e apresentadas na segurança de que Deus irá abençoar a Sua Palavra assim ilustrada. A técnica de evangelismo infantil difere do evangelismo para adultos. A mensagem é a mesma. Uma criança, se for propriamente evangelizada, irá, quando se lhe dá uma oportunidade, aceitar Cristo como Salvador. O adulto tem que ser persuadido e na maioria dos casos nunca irá aceitar Cristo. O barro será mais duro amanhã. Então temos que o moldar hoje. A vida terminará em tristeza, a não ser que Cristo entre hoje. As lições apresentadas nesta obra foram usadas para levar inúmeras crianças a Cristo, em Escolas Dominicais, em cultos juvenis, em escolas bíblicas de férias, campos de férias, e em encontros evangelísticos para crianças. The growing demand for Scriptural, pedagogical, and simple object lessons that can be economically put into practice, has stimulated the production of this volume. The authority for the use of objects as illustrations of spiritual truths is vested in the Word of God. The prophets, centuries before Christ, were commanded to prepare and deliver object sermons. Christ used this method of presenting truths. The colloquial style has been preserved to furnish the reader with ideas rather than words. It is suggested that the lessons presented be changed suffciently to make them one's own, prayed over to make them living, and presented in the assurance that God will bless His Word thus illustrated. The technique of child evangelism differs from adult evangelism. The message is the same. A child, if properly evangelized, will, when given an opportunity, accept Christ as Savior. The adult must be persuaded and in the majority of cases will never accept Christ. The clay will be hard tomorrow, We must shape it then today. The life will end in sorrow, unnless Christ comes in to stay. The lessons presented in this volume have been used to lead countless numbers of children to Christ, in Sunday schools, Junior Church services, Daily Vacation Bible Schools, summer camps, and children's evangelistic meetings. It is the author's prayer that they may continue to receive God's blessing as they go out into this enlarged ministry. (Preface)
