O sermão termina com as palavras: "Eu preferia ser um ladrão e roubar dinheiro do que tirar os rapazes dos lares da América e roubar a sua fé em Deus e enviá-los de volta para as suas mães e os seus pais com as ideias Modernistas e comportamentais que eles adquirem em algumas instituições escolares. Que Deus vos abençoe a cada um."

A Bob Jones' sermon delivered at the Chicago Gospel Tabernacle, evening of March 5, 1934, stenographically reported. It begins with the reading of a few verses from the seventeenth chapter of the Acts of the Apostles. The sermon ends with the words: "I would rather be a thief and steal money than to take the boys from the homes of America and steal their faith in God and send them back to their mothers and fathers with the Modernistic, behavioristic ideas that they get in some institutions of learning. May God bless you every one."
