A Series of Manuals for Children's workers 

Os Princípios do Ensino - Este livro é o sexto de uma série que o Sam está a escrever para ajudar os obreiros de crianças nas suas vidas e ministérios. No presente, estes livros estão a ser publicados, sem encargos, para mais de 3300 obreiros em 110 países à volta do mundo, e têm sido também traduzidos num grande número de línguas. O título e o tema deste livro é "Os Princípios do Ensino". Este é um tema que o Sam tem tido no seu coração, e sobre o qual queria escrever há muito tempo. Ele tem muitas qualificações que o ajudaram a escrever este livro: a sua experiência como professor de adolescentes no liceu por 14 anos; a sua experiência a ensinar a Palavra de Deus a crianças na Irlanda e em outros países através dos anos que esteve no CEF (APEC); a sua experiência a ensinar obreiros de crianças a tempo inteiro no Instituto de Treino da Liderança CEF europeu (do qual ele foi Diretor) por 27 anos. O seu propósito em escrever este livro é usar as lições que ele aprendeu (e os erros que cometeu) para ajudar aqueles que ensinam as crianças a tornar-se melhores professores. 

This book is the sixth in a series of books Sam is writing to help children's workers in their lives and ministries. At present these books are being sent out, free of charge, to over 3,300 children's workers in 110 countries worldwide, and they have also been translated into a number of other languages. The title, and subject, of this book is "The Principles of Teaching." This is a theme which Sam has had on his heart, and which he has wanted to write about, for a long time. He has a number of qualifications which have helped him to write this book: his experience as a teacher of teenagers in high school for 14 years; his experience teaching the Word of God to children in Ireland and in other countries throughout all his years in CEF; his experience teaching future full-time children* workers at the European CEF Leadership Training Institute (of which he was the Director) for 27 years. His purpose in writing this book is to use the lessons he has learned (and the mistakes he has made) to help those who teach children become better teachers.
